Bulbs
Most
bulbs are fairly inexpensive, but if you choose only those
that are fully hardy, you'll be rewarded with a regular beautiful
display of flowers for many years. All they need is enough
food and water, and a little maintenance. One way to examine
your bulbs is by squeezing them gently with your hand. Hardy
bulbs should feel firm and not hollow to the touch.
When
planting your bulbs, save time and effort by planting them
in one large hole, instead of individually. Bulbs planted
this way look less formal.
