Hydrangea macrophylla
Varieties: they are of hybrid origin, mainly derived from
the Japanese H. macrophylla
Cost: inexpensive to moderately priced
Meaning: "Thank you for understanding."
Growing tip: it likes moist and rich soil.
Remove old flower heads. In spring thin out weak shoots
and prune back flowering shoots nearly to the wood. Needs
to be pruned in late fall too.
